  • Keep our family in your prayers over the next few days, please. We will be in court attempting to sever the father's rights of my little brother. Right now my parents are his permanent guardians, but we would like to adopt him fully. In order to do this we must sever the rights of his birth father. If we do, then we can have my brother sealed to my family in the Temple for time and all eternity. Thanks.

  • I thought this all already happened...? I'm supposing the time I'm thinking of was the guardian thing. You are in my thoughts, dear. Your entire family is. Johnathan deserves you & your love...I hope he can keep it.

  • We won custody of Jonathan in July of last year. He has now lived with us for a year. Though he is a permanent member of our home, he is not an "Embree" because his birth-father, who is in prison, retains certain rights that prevent a complete adoption until the rights are severed. The law can be silly some times. Some times I wonder if it will ever be really over.

  • I think I'm allowed to say all that . . . ?

  • You're allowed to say whatever you want... right?

  • Everything will turn out how the Lord intends. Everything happens for a reason. I hope things go the way you hope.
