  • I stole this from andykoom’s site who stole it from someone else. I had to share it cause it’s a letter from a senior citizen that really touched me. It’s about how terrible life has been during Bush’s presidency. (did you ever think I’d post such a letter?) I guess I just never looked at the state of the untion and life in general from a point of view like this senior citizen:

    Dear Sir;

I am a senior citizen. During the Clinton Administration I had an
extremely good and well paying job. I took numerous vacations and
    had vacation homes.

Since President Bush took office, I have watched my entire life
change for the worse. I lost my job. I lost my two sons in that
    terrible Iraqi War.

I lost my home. I lost my health insurance. As a matter of fact, I
lost virtually everything and became homeless.  Adding insult to
injury, when the authorities found me living like an animal, instead
of helping me, they arrested me.

I will do anything to insure President Bush’s defeat in the next
election.   I will do anything that Senator Kerry wants to insure
that a Democrat is back in the White House come next year. Bush has
    to go.

I just thought you and your readers would like to know how one
senior citizen views the Bush Administration. Thank you for taking
the time to read my letter.

    Sincerely,
    Saddam Hussein

    Who would Saddam vote for?

Also, I find it extremely ironic that Kerry voted in favor of the war with Iraq without reading the intelligence report about the war. And despite voting in favor of the war, he decided he doesn’t want to fund the war. Hmmm. This guy wants to be president? I hate Kerry.

  • Wow, I really enjoyed that. : ) I was actually feeling sorry for the guy until I read the ‘sincerely Suddom Husein’ part. Good job.

  • I spelled that wrong, oh well. Saddam Hussein***

  • I’ve been listening to talk radio a lot lately.  I agree, I really hate Kerry.  Now he’s talking about things that are like Communism.  haha  I pray he won’t win.  I think Bush is doing a really good job.

  • I have absolutely no clue how I stumbled upon your site, but, I like it. I absolutely loathe politics and political issues (that’s not to say I don’t have my own views, of course, or that I disagree with you per se…), but I do like your stance on defending our Truth. I agree that argument is something that we all hate, but sometimes, the outright incorrect claims that others have warrent a response, and I’m glad someone like you made them. You made some stellar points, the ones I’ve read so far, but it’s really quite remarkable how most almost ignore them completely.

Anyways, I am a new convert to the LDS faith, and was baptized three weeks ago, and have been investigating for four weeks before that. I believe I was prepared to hear the gospel, which is why my conversion happened so fast (perhaps I’ll write all that down sometime soon and post it somewhere), but I too have looked at Apologetics and find that they have the credentials and research to back up all of their findings. It’s amazing that hardly anyone takes the time to search their work!

I’m rambling, but it was just cool seeing you defend this stuff. I agree that we should be loathe to argue, but if/when we must, it’s good to know that you have your head screwed on straight and it’s you that defends it, heh.

  • “Though argument does not create conviction, lack of it destroys belief. What seems to be proved may not be embraced; but what no one shows the ability to defend is quickly abandoned. Rational argument does not create belief, but it maintains a climate in which belief may flourish.” (Austin Farrer on C. S. Lewis.)

  • I was surprised at first, but then the ending with Saddam was good!  Yeah, I would not want to vote for anyone Saddam would!

  • hahahahahaha…thats funny

  • Glad u liked it, i did a doubletake the 1st time too heh :D

  • I was a lil scared at first…but then the part bout saddam and kery- amen to that. I do not want to see someone like him in office. Politics inhale air royally. I wish that the whole political system wasn’t so twisted up like it is…but hey that’s life- and i guess i don’t ahve much to complain about- life is good cuz i know who i am and what i believe it- soo it’s just dandy! Of course just cuz of that you can’t let alone all that’s goni on in the world…soyou still have to stand up for what is right…and quite frankly…i dnot think that is kerry…but any who i will stop on my dislike of kerry for the moment. Peace to ya and keep up the most insightful thoughts and veiws! Peace and God be with you till we meet again! CTR!!

  • i don’t know you, but i like the letter.

  • Very nice. In fact, I found another good letter to the editor you might enjoy…

    Dear Editor,

We were very pleased when George W. Bush was elected in 2000, he’s a good friend of the family.  We knew he had great potential, so we invested heavily into his political career.  It was a smart move, as he brought us many riches.  When things got rough in the states, he provided us transportation out of the country with no questions asked.  Our family will do our best to make sure that Mr. Bush remains president for the next four year.

    Sincerely,

    The Bin Ladens

Who would The Bin Ladens vote for?

Also, I find it extremely ironic that Bush presented the “intelligence” to congress to push his war with Iraq, and then failed to keep that war well funded and to make sure that the troops were provided for and cared for as they put their lives on the line to fight an illegitimate battle.  When Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, did the United States declare war on Sweden?  This guy calls himself president? I hate Bush.
