  • well that was kinda harsh and im sorry if it offened u but what we saw on the creen was just mild compare d to the rea thing. if u know what the whole process of teh cruxfiction was which is one of the most horrific sites in the world. we have to be remminded opf christ s suffering. we arr able to understand better if we see al  the violkence on the screen because we able to understand better why he had to sufer. why did jesue have to suffer? well to bear our grief. isaiah 53:4 surley he took up our infirmities. also to carry our sorrows. hebrews 4: 15 says For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet was without sin. God tured his back on jesus.” father why have you forsaken me?” no movie is going to be able to show this but in this one it tried to and did a good job. jesus became sin so that we will have a right standing with God. in Christ and his suffering he demonstrated his suffering. we must always be reminded of Christ and suffering. yes it was violent but so is the Bible. the BIble is not nice nor was Jesus. im sorry for the rude comment it was not out of love. if we want a better understand ing of what CHrist had to become a servant and die for me and you  this movie is an attempt to show that. thats not from mel its from me. well im sorry in christ – roe

  • where is your art….i dont see it anywhere…. (btw, what is your subtitle supposed to mean?) have a super day…lorie….

  • Orson Scott Card, a Mormon author said, “Director and co-writer Mel Gibson’s artistic achievement in The Passion of the Christ would have been noteworthy had the film been merely adequate, as art or entertainment. Instead, it is superb; I believe that it is, in every way that matters, perfect” (http://www.ornery.org/essays/warwatch/2004-02-29-1.html).

Bob, a Mormon and a writer for “The Sons of Mosiah” said when refering to The Passion “I like this movie” (http://www.bobandlogan.com/archives/000055.html#more).

“After having seen The Passion, [Robert L.] Millet, [a respected Mormon], said he was ‘stunned by the reality of the experience.’ He added that he was touched by the portrayal of Mary, claiming that Gibson’s film helped him gain a deeper understanding of Mary’s suffering” (http://deseretbook.com/mormon-life/news/story?story_id=1321). Richard L. Evans, Professor of Religious Understanding at Brigham Young University, agreed.

Numerous other BYU professors, Mormon authorities, and regular LDS members have liked the Passion of the Christ and been touched by it’s clearly true and powerful message. I chose not to see it because I can’t stomach it, and yet it’s Mormons like me . . .

“if you want a better understand ing of what CHrist had to become a servant and die for me and you” ask God, and he will give you that understanding. The crucifixtion was the biggest crime of the world; I don’t need to see the movie to believe that. The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the center of the Gospel and the only hope of man; I don’t need to see the movie to believe that. Jesus Christ lives. Jesus was sent here to die, but he lives. I learned that on my own, and I don’t need to see a movie to believe it.
