I wrote an article I thought I would share . . . read the article carefully to understand my intent
~Today, April 9, 2003, was the annual Nation-Wide Day of Silence to promote the acceptance of Homosexual activity. Thousands of people around the nation took up a vow of silence in an effort to spread the word that Gays and Lesbians should not have to be silent about their “natural” inclinations towards members of the same gender. Due to the success of this national event, local High Schools and Universities all over are sponsoring more of such events, the first of which is tomorrow. April 10, 2003 will be the first National Day of Pedophile Silence. It is time for society to accept pedophilia and open our arms to pedophiles all over the world.
Pedophilia is a natural phenomenon that makes adults sexually attracted to children. For years pedophiles have been attacked by society. People call them names like “child-molestor” and “abuser.” Americans have even arrested thousands of innocent adults who act on their sexual longing towards children. This injustice must stop. Pedophiles are people too, they should be accepted just as much as gays and lesbians. Being a pedophile is no different than being homosexual, so now that we can accept homosexuality, the next step is accepting pedophilia.
It is time that people understand that pedophiles are not guilty for sucumbing to their desires to build emotional and physical relationships with young children. After all, it is natural. Dr. Micheal J. Whiteman of the Regional Association of Pedaphile Education (R.A.P.E.) claims, “Recent studies show that pedophilia may be genetic. An enlarged hypothalamus gland most likely causes more hormones to flow into the brain triggering intense feelings of attraction towards children. It is perfectly normal.” Further studies from the Association of Pediatric and Experimental Studies (A.P.E.S.) shows that pedophila is a growing tendency in America, Taiwan, Italy, and some other European nations. One out of ten Americans are effected by Pedophilia in some way. Obviously since the trend is so common, we need to accept it.
Father S. A. Gomorra, a former Priest, has recently founded the Friends Accepting Pedophiles Organization (F.A.P.O.). The Organization hopes to eventually create laws legalizing marriage between adults and children. Gomorra says, “I realize that our goals are ambitious, but the laws prohibiting Adult-Child relationships must be nullified. Those laws are unconstitutional, not only do they prevent people from expressing themselves, but they show how narrow-minded America is.” That is precisely why tomorrow will be a national day of pedophile silence.
Although the time for pedophile acceptance is near, there has been a surprisingly large resistance to tomorrows proposed day of silence. A large Religious organization held a protest in Salt Lake City yesterday. At the protest, a spokesperson for the Group of Obedient Diciples (G.O.O.D.) says, “No matter what the world says, we believe that God does not accept sexual relationships between adults and kids.” Despite the group’s strong stand against the clearly natural attraction to children, F.A.P.O. is confident that one day America will be able to accept not only all people, but all behaviors. With the sucess of Gay/Lesbian awareness, other groups can find hope in the future for the acceptance of their behaviors. Today we accept homosexuality, tomorrow we accept pedophilia, and one day we will be able to accept alcoholism, drug addiction, adultery, homicide, and cannibolism.~
By the way, in english we are studying satire. I like satire. I can’t wait to write a satire . . .
Anyway, as you can tell, I was not happy with my High School for endorsing and sponsoring todays Day of Silence.
Seminary was really good today. We learned about the martyrdom of Joseph Smith. I’m not going to describe the feelings I felt on that because somethings are too sacred for the internet, but I will say that I did cry, and that I do know that Joseph Smith is a prophet of God and that by gaining a testimony in that you will gain a stronger testimony of Jesus Christ.
YAY FOR U.S. TROOPS IN BAGDAD! and thanks to Mr. Bolger’s class. I feel like a latter-day Hitler is going to be put down and a latter-day Berlin Wall is falling. It feels good.

well written, i must say. satire is great cause half the time people completely miss the point you are making and their responses end up proving your point. good stuff.
i’m really interested in seeing what kind of comments you get on this. i have some opinions on homosexuality that are probably a bit different from other people’s, but i think for now i’ll keep quiet and see what kind of things other people say.
and big up for putting your opinions on full blast. a lot of people don’t ever do that. like me. hehe.

I am a big fan of that entry. Very well written!! I was about to get a laugh out of it but understand the seriousness of it, as well… I have friends who are gay and bisexual, and while I don’t AGREE with the practice, the Lord says it’s not my place to Judge… (Not to say you are judging, but.. You know what I mean!)

Actually, the JST or something says not to judge unrighteously. So like, if it’s not your place to say something, or if you just want to be mean or whatever… that’s when not to judge.
But anyway, that was great. I enjoyed it. Article was funny and serious at the same time, and I feel exactly the same way.
Also I missed yesterday’s seminary, darn, but we talked about it again today and it was very, very good. I loved the video and it was just… powerful. I didn’t cry… quite surprising actually, I usually cry, but I felt the Spirit strongly. Ack, I hate being sick.

i no this is a bit late to be posting on this, but i must say……..great job, u no my stand point on pretty much every issue because of the bus….hehe…..and the day of silence for petifils was very interesting and a good way to prove a point……i wish i could give more than just 2 eprops
