"Rock of Ages, cleft for me, let me hide myself in Thee; let the water and the blood, from Thy wounded side which flowed be of sin the double cure, save from wrath, and make me pure. . ."
Dear friends, family, and xangans,Sorry I have to make this kind of fast. General Conference was great the other weekend. Elder Holland spoke on the power of words and their potential to harm or help. I felt it was some of the most timely counsel I've ever heard. The prophets are definately up with the times. President Faust was very tender in his talk on Forgiveness. You can watch/ read/ listen to those speeches at lds.org.
Easter was also great. It was a great time to reflect on the Savior's atonement and resurrection. Everything went well, though admitantly I was a little homesick.
Our mission President has set a goal of hitting 97 baptisms for next transfer in honor of President Hinckley's birthday. I feel it is an inspired goal that we can hit, even though our highest acheivement is 63 so far.
Sorry to be abrupt,
Elder Embree
"Not the labors of my hands, can fill all Thy laws demands; could my zeal no respite know, could my tears forever flow, all for sin could not atone; Thou must save, and Thou alone." (Agustus M. Toplady).
