  • "You don't like other girls. You care about your friends, and you'd rather have been born as one of your brothers" (Jupiter Sunrise).

I learned something today with my sister. Girls listen up: Regular-rise pants, shorts, skirts, etc. make you look skinnier than low rise. Yes, that's right. Low-rise pants draw your waist line at the widest part of your hips- accentuating your widest part. If you wear your shorts just 3/4 of an inch higher- even 1/2 an inch higher, you are drawing your waist line at your waist, which is your skinniest part. And you're not showing off your butt crack and love handles. Once again we prove that modest is the hottest.

And on another note, perhaps similar in nature. Just a thought: Men don't have to objectify women. Women do a great job of objectifying themselves.

  • Thankyou for that.  It's something I've been trying to get across to my friends.  HOWEVER I will say this, they don't SELL very many clothes that aren't low cut.

  • yeah modest is hottest, but more gorgeous instead, but whats wrong with the last quote

  • Those are very good points. Its hard to find jeans that aren't lowrise, though. I have spent hours searching for jeans that aren't lowrise and walked away after an entire afternoon of shopping with only one pair of pants.

  • This is a very true conclusion that you have drawn. But it isn't as easy as it sounds finding higher waisted pants....then mix that with trying to find pants with a 35" inseam....nearly impossible...I'm huge...it's annoying.

  • hahaha nice, yeah low rise pants give you love handles, even if you're really thin

  • dude, thats like the greatest philosophy though, like it makes sense, your sister is a clever fellow.

  • It's not that low-rise make girls look fat, but make them look more curvy.  Yes, they accentuate the largest part, but make the waist look smaller giving the appearance of being more curvy.  Another things is not all low-rise show butt crack and love handles.  I wear low-rise most of the time and do not have that problem.  ~Katie
