I have updated my xanga skin to include a "Soapbox" section below the Lyrics and above the blogrings. Included are just a few of my classic soapboxes. Check it out!
I am also considering adding a section for the top 5 DBE_BG1 xanga posts of all time. But what would those top 5 be? I picked a few (ok a lot) of my favorites . . . Now pick your favorite!

Your "Powerful Conversation" entry was very interesting; I've never quite felt what you described, but I could feel what you meant while I read it.
Very moving, to say the least.
Hey Dan, I much enjoyed your posts called "College Adventures" because I think most college kids can relate to the amazing shenanigans of dorm life. Though I have to say I'm not too impressed by your your selection of the Day of Silence post. I think that that was one of the more distasteful things you've put up on here. Usually I'm all about supporting what you say, because even if I disagree I think you consistently come with the most eloquent and intelligent argument. I do, however, think that the Day of Silence post was neither eloquent nor intelligent; it was actually borderline ignorant. I know that you are smarter than that post, so no, that one does not have my vote.
Lisa- I hope that the fact that that post is two years old says something- I have to admit that I don't think I would write something like it today, but I do think that it belongs on this list because it was one of my first opinion posts and so it is both classic and illustrative of the changes my posts have had over the years.
Haha, I'm glad I could introduce you to it; and thanks for the Sub. Warning, though, my posts tend to always be long, random, and constantly edited. <.<;
