  • Meghan today described me as giddy.

Last night I had so many things to do from Composition I lost perhaps too much sleep, although I have had less sleep before. Lack of transportation and scheduling convience caused me to not go to the Taking Back Sunday/Fall Out Boy/Matchbook Romance concert last night. I'll have to ask Jeff about it.

Instead of going to the concert, I snuck into Lisa's room. (During Visiting Hours). I had Rachael get Lisa out of her room, while leaving the door slightly ajar. Then Britney, Cali, and a bunch of other girls stood watch while I painted Lisa's window with a picture of me and a picture of her. I then wrote "will you go to homecoming with me?" on it. It was pretty cool. I might be able to get a picture up here . . . maybe.

So then I went back to my dorm and ran into Lisa, and talked for a while (before she saw her window). Then she went back, and like a half hour later I looked out the window and there were eight girls each holding up a sign that spelled out "heck yes!" I kept the "!" sign.

And thus she said "heck yes." And thus I got no sleep. And thus I became giddy.

  • hey, that's awesome! very creative... i like it! :) so have you been going to all the awesome DT stuff? party this saturday, yeah!

  • hey bro, what a way to get a response. Its cool that she also was creative in her answer. Bravo.

  • Do mormons in Utah and Idaho typicall say Heck yes, or was she quoting from the most fabulous movie ever, Napoleon Dynamite?

  • pretty good reason to get giddy.

and i've known people all my life that say heck yes!, including myself on occassion. but since napoleon dynamite there has been a great increase in use. and it's been given a standard voice, also. now imagine how much more awesome that movie would have been with an actual plot to it. super awesome? heck yes!

  • They say it all the time here. I'm not sure which came first, the saying or the movie. The movie was directed, writen, and acted by BYU (Provo and Idaho) alumni. I think before ND the saying was "Heck Yeah" though, and ND made it "Heck Yes." I dunno.

  • Hahaha, clever but my method requires less effort.

    BTW, ever seen this?

  • aww...you're soooo sweet! well done, I like it!

but...what if...she wanted to say no...wouldn't you be totally embrassed? LOL...i am not trying to put you down...but have you thought about that before you paint her room? just wondering.

  • DUDE my friends were heckof talking about girls holding up heck yes signs!!

...and to think i knew you all along...

that almost makes you famous.  continue being giddy. u have reason enough.

and the painting the window thing? OMGOSH slick, kid.  any girl would scream with joy, esp. from a talented young artist like yourself.    im just full of compliments tonight.

lol ill see ya around- always do.

  • haha . . . funny story about being practically famous:

So that night I got in an elevator with Jason (RA from 7th floor who is ALWAYS smiling) and he asked what floor. I said 3rd, and then asked my name, and I said "Dan." So then a few seconds later he's like, "Are the the guy who just asked one of the S Hall girls to homecoming?"

I was like, "yeah . . . how did you know."

I wonder how long those girls were standing out there.

  • lolll funny stuff.

  • Jason - the RA who is ALWAYS smiling - is in my FHE group, he's seriously the coolest guy ever! You can't have a bad day when he's part of it, lol ... even though that seems to be true for so many people out here in Happy Valley! Have fun at Homecoming!

  • Wow. I don't know you.. just randomly found your site, but that is one of the sweetest things I have ever heard of. Way to be! =)
