I love General Conference. I love it because right now I am listening to Apostles, Prophets, and general authorities. Right now. Live Revelation from God.
I just wanted to encourage you to listen to General Conference. Jeffry R. Holland has allready given a beautiful talk. Also two new Apostles have been called to fill vacancies in the quorum. They are:
Dieter F. Uchtdorf (He grew up in Germany, as far as I know he may be the first Apostle in this dispensation with English as a second language)
David A. Bednar (Former President of BYU-Idaho- he is very young)
So start watching General Conference now and be enlightened: www.lds.org
Edit: I love how the Prophets show you a way to live in their talks that is so appealing. They show you what it is to be truly happy and then invite you to live that way and be happy like that. I love it.

yes it is very cool to have such an invitation to listen to live revelation. the one last night for the priests was very cool. there was a small gathering at our ward. you could feel the pride in the room. i wish everyone could accept the revelations as we do. i dont know where we would be without it. well i do, and it is no where near as desirable as this. as for the new apostles. im psyched for them. a breathe of youth and ethnicity. not that its needed. but its good to see. good day friend
ya! conference is awesome!
we only get to watch the saturday sessions though..coz the time difference..
after four sessions of hearing the same monotone voice speaking, i couldn't take it. don't get me wrong, their messages are amazing and true and we all need them... just... the voices! the voices!!!! the only talk i could really listen to on the last session was the guy who was really really nervous he kept looking from right to left and he couldnt control his breathing. i felt bad for him because i know what its like, you know?
Conference was indeed amazing! I got to actually attend it for the first time ever, which was way awesome.
Are you from Chicago? I absolutely loved it. I want to live there at some point in my life, but probably not to raise a family. It's cool for single/young adult life though.
