It's a big day today. 2003 years ago Jesus was born in Bethlehem. 173 years ago the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was organized. Today was General Conference . . . 3 Pretty big events . . .
Well, I have now been through 10 hours of General Conference . . . and I loved everything I heard. Today I was so impressed with Gordon B. Hinckley's address on the War (Operation: Iraqi Freedom). As he spoke, I knew without a doubt that he was a Prophet and that the things he was saying were true. President Hinckley's Address
I was also impressed by Jeffrey R. Holland's talk about the Children. In it he said that Neal A. Maxwell had once casually said to him that no one seemed to have a problem with conformity when the Red Sea was parted. I must agree. I believe in the individual, but I am a big fan of Unity.
I am so grateful for the Prophets of the Latter-Days. There is a lot we can learn from them. Goto www.LDS.org for the General Conference talks . . . here's my report from yesterday:

*Sigh* It's been a long day . . . but General Conference was good. I really enjoyed this morning's session. I love Elder Russel M. Nelson (Quorum of the 12 Apostles)- his talk on prayer was amazing. I was also really touched by the Tab Choir's rendition of "Praise to the Man." It gave me shivers . . . for those of you who haven't heard it . . .
"Praise to the man who communed with Jehovah,
Jesus anointed that Prophet and Seer,
Blessed to open the last dispensation,
King's shall extoll him, And nations revere.
"Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven!
Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain.
Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren;
Death cannot conquer the hero again.
"Praise to his memory, he died as a martyr;
Honored and blest be his ever great name!
Long shall his blood, which was shed by assassins,
Plead unto heaven while the earth lauds his fame. . .
"Great is his glory and endless his priesthood.
Ever and ever the keys he will hold.
Faithful and true, he will enter his kingdom,
Crowned in the midst of the prophets of old . . .
"Sacrifice brings forth the blessings of heaven;
Earth must atone for the blood of that man.
Wake up the world for the conflict of justice.
Millions shall know "brother Joseph" again.
"Hail to the Prophet, ascended to heaven!
Traitors and tyrants now fight him in vain.
Mingling with Gods, he can plan for his brethren;
Death cannot conquer the hero again. "
What a powerful song. What a powerful man- Joseph Smith. I testify that he is a Prophet of God. I know that Jesus Christ and our Father in Heaven appeared to him, restoring the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the Earth.
I was also deeply touched at the Priesthood session of Conference tonight. I testify that in these latter days we are lead by true and living Apostles and Prophets of God. Gordon B. Hinkley is such a Prophet. I have heard him speak, I have heard his special witness of Jesus Christ. The Spirit has born witness to me that President Hinkley is a Prophet. Oh, I hope you had the chance to hear him speak today. If not, please hear him tomorrow. The message he and the other Church leaders have to bring us are important, divine instructions.
I testify that those instructions come from God. I know that He lives, that His Son, Jesus Christ, atoned for our sins. I know that through the sacred Priesthood power families may be sealed together forever. I know that the Bible is a true testament of Jesus Christ; I testify that the Book of Mormon is also a true testament of Jesus Christ. All of these things bring me so much happiness. That's what I love about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints-- it makes me so happy.
P.S. You can hear General Conference (or at least read it) again if you missed it at www.lds.org
P.P.S. Prow's- it's good to have you back (and everyone else that was gone for that matter)

The person who just posted is a moron. I'm a Mormon. It rules. Everybody who doesn't get it.. just DOESN'T GET IT.
Having said that, beware of my weblog.. it contains foul language, despite my mormon being and all. I dunno... it just came out that way. Read anyway or whatever.
Hey, there was a comment posted that criticized heavily my beliefs. Because of the foul language it contained, I deleted it. It was that comment that FatDan was bashing as he defended me. Thanks. And it does rule. That's for sure.
(The moron fatdan refers to is hardflip876)
Dear Hardflip876
I pray to God, the Father, he is no hypocrite. I know from personal experience that he hears and answers my prayers. I apologize for reducing myself to a fool when I refered to you as a moron. I admit that you in truth are an intelligent individual, a fellow child of God. My comments were uncalled for, but I must tell you that they were meant in deffense of my convictions which you challenged and from the offensive language you dared to post on my site. You see, I said that the Church made me happy. What I don't understand is why a nice guy like you would want to make me take that happiness away. I apologize for my horrible reaction to your humble opinion, and I am thankful that you will no longer "bother" me by disregarding my standards on this site.
Just block hardflip, and watch out.. he stuck a few of his friends on me.
I have a really good idea. Let's all make HardFlip really mad . . . wanna know how? Let's pray for him! Since he thinks that we are praying to a Hypocrite (I prefer to call Him God) I think it would really drive this hard-hearted hardflip guy nuts to know that we were praying for him! I want as many people joining me in prayer for him as I possibly can get, so remember him in your prayers and drop a message telling him here . . .
1) You are so cute! Sorry, somewhat open of me, but you are. Hehehe. Hehehehehe.
2) Wow. I think I'll continue reading this blog. You have your head on straight! I'll try to remember to pray for hardflip. Not to make him mad but just because it might help him find peace in his life or something good.
Dear mcmormon,
You are right. Prayers should not be out of spite, they should be out of love and concern. We should pray for him as someone else said (I think is was DiscoDiana) because he needs serious help.
P.S. Thanks for the complement . . . you're pretty cute yourself
